Australian Grand Prix
Watched the telecast on channel 10 today. Well, all in all, it was a damn boring race. With all the new rules, besides the engine one, Formula 1 sucks. Cars were going so darn slowly, everyone having to conserve their tyres because they have to make it last the whole race. As a result, there are no longer any pit-stop dramas. Pit-stops are no longer as important as they were in previous seasons. Now it's just a splash and dash, which is utterly boring. Overall, I'm very disappointed with all the changes. They are supposed to be slowing down Ferrari, not destroying the joy of Formula 1. Judging from last season, Ferrari is the team with the best efficiency and reliability. The rules now favours team with reliability. So isn't this just helping Ferrari? Although Ferrari didn't do well this race, it was only down to bad weather and poor timing. Had Michael Schumacher been given a fair chance, or in the same effect, Juan-Pablo Montoya and Kimi Raikkonen, during qualifying, it would have been a totally different story.
Not sure if I'll follow Formula 1 as closely as before, have a feeling I won't be liking what I see anyway.
This sucks.
