Just had to share this..rather interesting
According to Greek mythology, King Augeus owned a stable with 3,000 oxen. Their stalls had not been cleaned out for 30 years—hence our English word Augean, which refers to something exceedingly filthy from long neglect. Hercules, the mythical strong man, was commanded to clean the Augean stable in a single day.
When Hercules first saw the stable, he was dismayed by its size, filthiness, and stench. Then he noticed that it was located between two great rivers, the Alpheus and the Peneus. He put his great strength to work and diverted the rivers so they flowed through the building. Within a short time the stable was rinsed clean.
The story is a myth, of course, but myths by their very nature preserve the yearnings of the cultures that embrace and perpetuate them. The story reflects, I believe, our own longing for someone to wash from our lives the accumulated waste and filth of the years.
There is a powerful river of forgiveness that flows from the cross of Christ. No defilement, even though Augean, can withstand its cleansing flow. When we humbly confess our sins, all of our unrighteousness is washed away (1 John 1:9). We can be sure that our "sins, which are many, are forgiven" (Luke 7:47). —David Roper

today was the longest ever day...well in recent times at least...
woke up early in the morning to prepare to go for the ippt and mob brief at Changi Airbase...good thing cheng hao came to pick me up..if not i think i'll definitely be late..or maybe even lost..we almost got lost anyway..hehz..wat to do..one inexperienced driver and one non-driver..haha lethal combination. anyhow i experienced the most poorly managed ippt in my whole life...there was no warmup...no safety brief..no evac plan...no nothing...station ic didn't really know how to run the stations properly..well..what more could be said...so this is ippt in unit life..hope i'm wrong...maybe cos i've been in training institutes(first hendon camp, then airforce school, then ocs then AFS again) discipline though relatively slacked in AFS still was MILES ahead of what happened at CAB..oh well..different places..different requirements.. that being said...i failed my first ever IPPT/NAPFA...missed the passing mark by about a minute in the 2.4 run...well i guess have to train up more...after the mob brief we went to have lunch at Changi Village where i had the best horfun i've tasted to date....simply wonderful...
after resting the afternoon..i went to Grace's bday party...it was a rather enjoyable affair...which only just ended...anyway..if she ever reads this..Happy Birthday Gracie!!!(i know u hate being called that..but hey...)..i'm too tired to continue anything..i have to sleep already...

nothing much happened today...woke up late...cooked my brunch and watch some tv...other than that fiddling ard with the comp all day again..tried to play commandos 3..and damn it's difficult..stuck on the 2nd stage..this version is rather different from the other versions as in they don't really define your mission objectives very well....not very happy with the interface though...need to find out all the short cuts to the different weapons first..
on my webdesigning, well i stumbled upon this website EchoEcho and found that it's not bad with a rather good tutorial on everything you need to know abt html, java and the likes..probably will be spending alot of time there and at least i finally know how to put in frames.
tml is the day of reckoning...my IPPT arrives...sighz..i'm going to fail...hopefully my ankle holds up..for those who dunno..i sprained my ankle earlier this year and until abt a couple of months back it wasn't fully recovered..sometimes i still feel an odd twitch here and there nowadays too..sighz..
nothign much to add...so will end of here..
Daily Bible Quote:
"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:11
yet another long long night...this time i reached home 2 hours earlier..but i left home 4 hours earlier...hmmz..anyhow NF asked me to go help him out today..so i went down...ended up attending the uberture meeting for the upcoming event at Centro called Crave. For the uninitiated this is the first-ever Inter-Junior College Prom Pageant, proudly brought to you by uberture. Follow the link to learn more about it.
Anyway to update on the developments of my webpage...well was trying to introduce frames to my website but i realised that i'm dumb...can't do it at all..but on a brighter note..i downloaded a new html editor....Coffecup to be exact. rather interesting and probably will help me in my quest to finally creating my personal homepage...
btw, for those who have visited this blog..please do drop a note in my guestbook or email me if you any suggestions on the things u wanna see on my blog..then i'll see if, given my limited intellect and talents, i can implement them.
Early sign off from me today..need to catch some precious sleep...ippt is drawing ever so near..just 2 days away..sighz..
Daily Bible quote:
"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ."
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
