Welcome to RMIT
well...this morning at abt 10am...Allan, the IDP counsellor handling my RMIT application called to inform me that RMIT has approved my application. Finally my wait is over and told him that i'll accept RMIT's offer and won't be taking up Deakin's offer...feel a bit bad because Deakin replied me so promptly...but oh well..RMIT has always been my first choice..the one year working experience, to me, is crucial..also i'll be bunking in with Dillon and he stays just 10mins away from RMIT...so i'll save a hell lot on transportation fees..have to pay adult fares..sighz...
anyhow after sending the rice dumplings my mum made to my grandma's house, my sis and i went down to town with uncle Bert for lunch and shopping..ate at Sushi Tei...haiz..finally satisfied my sushi craving...felt so happy...after that we went shopping a while then i had to go for my dental appointment..talking abt that clinic...it was DAMN cool...excellent decor, excellent service, excellent everything...my dad got recommended to that clinic by his friend and it so happens the dentist was a church member..but it's really super good...they have free coffee and tea for the patients, played jazz music and even have personal movie sets...i didn't try those though..maybe in future... in fact when i first saw the clinic i was a bit intimidated actually..cos it didn't look like a clinic..it looked more like er.....a hotel lobby? but with free coffee and tea... anyhow...i just went for a general check-up and cleaning...maybe i'll actually go back to him this time...haven't been keeping my appointments with other dentists but this one...a re-visit is a definite. total damage: $50 - a bit steep, but definitely worth it..
after that, we had to rush down to shenton way to get the bank draft which another uncle was preparing for me cos Allan wanted us to settle everything by today so that we can actually be on time for the commencement date. after a whole lot of hurrying here and there...finally the bank draft was submitted...and we broke to Killiney's for coffee and toast...after that was more shopping while my sis went to meet her fren for dinner...was lookng for shoes, but the particular shoe i was looking for, seems like the whole town sold out..finally went down to Queensway to look for it...after disappointment from the first 3 shops we entered...we entered the third shop...just as my uncle turned to the shop assistant to ask abt the size...the assistant said "$125" everywhere else was selling at least $170...so my uncle said bring the size...i tried it on...and okie...it was half a size too big...but for such a bargain...we didn't really care.. haha
anyway...after buying the shoe..we came home...and so here i am..typing out this long long blog while i ask dillon abt what to bring and stuff...sighz...so tiring...
more tml...
